I am rating Velocity Wings three out of five stars, not because the food is lacking. The food really was fine! It was perfectly acceptable for a weekday dinner when I was not in the mood to cook. I was slightly put off by the very large tv screen in the booth.
But, if you are NOT in a talkative mood this may be just the place for you! You do not need any sparkling and engaging dinner conversation and you can probably skip the crayons to entertain the kids! In all honesty, there were a few high top tables closer to the front door where you can view the TV screens from the bar, instead of them right on top of you. It is also a very good place to see your favorite team and cheer them on without having to prepare any snacks!
I ordered the hot fried chicken sandwich with cole slaw and my husband ordered the wings.
I thought the prices were reasonable and the service was very attentive and the chicken is all sourced from local Virginia farms. They also have carry out when you need to grab and go. I thought the food was good and I will go back.
